ABOUT SUPERNOVA
SUPERNOVA is an organic acid which is used at a 1ml/litre use rate. By using less detergent per wash compared to other typical acid detergents (1.5ml/litre) as well as the alternate day cold water wash programme, dairy farmers can also expect to use less electricity, resulting in lower costs for cleaning milk plant.
Environmental benefits include lower toxicity and higher biodegradability of waste water through SUPERNOVA's organic formulation and less energy required to maintain superior milk plant cleaning prgorammes.
CALCULATION ASSUMPTIONS
1. The cost savings calculated by the Energy Management Calculator are guidelines only. Actual cost savings per dairy shed depend on actual detergent usage and hot/cold water wash programmes used in the dairy shed.
2. Cost savings are based on the Recommended Retail Price of SUPERNOVA acid detergent, 200L drum, at $995 including GST, available nationwide from PGG Wrightson and Williams & Kettle rural supply stores. Price current at 1st September 2008.
